Marine Vessel
11.5 × 10.5 × 3.5 / MADE TO ORDER
The Marine Vessel is an elongation of the Aortic Vessel, more similar to its original iteration, elevated on a foot similar in feel to that of the Bridge Handled Vessel. It is inspired by the curved oval forms of Japanese paper lanterns and mid-century lighting, but its boat-like belly is reminiscent of the sea. It can be used as both a vessel and a candelabra for thicker-based candles.
Materials: Cast white stoneware, matte warm white glaze with slight crackle to surface. Smooth to touch.

The Marine Vessel is a footed, elongated iteration of the Aortic Vessel, which is inspired by the curved oval forms of Japanese paper lanterns and mid-century lighting. Combining his Japanese heritage into his lighting designs, Isamu Noguchi created the Akari collection which has remained crafted in Gifu at the Ozeki & Co manufactory since 1951.
