Più Bridge Handled Vessel

8 × 6 × 2.5

The Bridge Handled Vessel is inspired by the bulbous belly and connecting arch that is commonly found in Pre-Columbian and Etruscan water vessels to act as a handle for easy carrying. This 3nd iteration is perfect for small stems or as an object in itself.

The Più Series is, in essence, a miniature line of our most popular forms: The Single Stem Vessel and The Bridge Handled Vessel. "Più" is an onomatopoeic word that sounds exactly how the pieces look, but with a twist, translates in Italian to "more". We like this play on the word whose sound mimics the feel of the piece, but also gets to the intentional root of this series; expanding on the work to make it more accessible and more varied.

Materials: Cast white stoneware, matte warm white glaze with slight crackle to surface. Smooth to touch.
